We are committed to handling your information with care and in accordance with applicable law, including the Montana Consumer Data Privacy Act (Mont. Code Ann. § 30-14-1701 et seq., effective October 1, 2024) where applicable.

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Property address and related listing details
  • Any other information you choose to provide in a message or form submission

3.2 Information Collected Through Our Booking Platform (Aryeo)

Our booking and media delivery platform, Aryeo (aryeo.com), collects and stores information on our behalf when you schedule a shoot or access your media. This includes booking details, contact information, property addresses, and access to delivered media files. Aryeo's own privacy policy governs their handling of this data. We encourage you to review it at aryeo.com.

3.3 Information Collected Through Our Website (Shopify)

Our Site is built on the Shopify platform. Shopify automatically collects certain technical data when you visit the Site, including:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on the Site
  • Referring URL
  • Device identifiers

Shopify's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy, available at shopify.com/legal/privacy. We do not control Shopify's data collection practices.

3.4 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors interact with our Site. Google Analytics collects information such as:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Approximate geographic location (city/region level, based on IP address)
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • How you arrived at our Site (search engine, direct link, referral, etc.)

This data is collected in aggregated, anonymized form and is used solely to improve our Site and understand our audience. We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors. Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

3.5 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies. These include:

  • Essential cookies — required for basic Site functionality
  • Analytics cookies — placed by Google Analytics to collect the usage data described above
  • Advertising cookies — we intend to use interest-based advertising in the future, including through Meta (Instagram/Facebook) and/or Google Ads. When we do, those platforms may place cookies or pixels on our Site to serve relevant ads to past visitors. We will update this policy to reflect those practices before they are implemented

You may disable or manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of our Site. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org.

3.6 Contact Form and Email Capture

When you submit a contact form or provide your email address through our Site, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the content of your message. This information is used to respond to your inquiry and, where you have indicated interest, to keep you informed about our services. You may opt out of non-transactional communications from us at any time by replying to any email with the word "unsubscribe" or by contacting us directly.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries and communicate with you about your booking or project
  • To schedule, coordinate, and deliver our media services
  • To send you your completed media files and related deliverables through Aryeo
  • To process and manage bookings and invoices
  • To send operational communications related to your shoot (confirmations, reminders, rescheduling)
  • To improve our Site and services based on usage patterns
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Use of Property Media for Marketing Purposes

As part of our standard service, Doorstep may use photographs, video, aerial media, and other content captured at your property for our own portfolio, website, and marketing purposes — including on our Instagram and other social media channels.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree that Doorstep retains the right to use property media for these purposes unless you expressly request otherwise in writing prior to your shoot. If you wish to restrict the use of your property's media for our marketing, please contact us before your appointment.

We do not identify homeowners by name or include personally identifiable information in our portfolio or marketing content without explicit consent.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

To operate our business, we work with a limited number of third-party service providers who may access client information in the course of providing services on our behalf. These include:

6.1 Post-Production and Processing

Doorstep uses industry-standard post-production software and may engage AI-assisted editing tools to process and enhance the media captured at your property. Raw media files may be processed through these platforms as part of our standard workflow. These tools are used solely for the purpose of producing your final deliverables and do not have access to your personal contact information.

6.2 Aryeo

Our booking and media delivery platform. Aryeo processes booking information, property details, and media files on our behalf.

6.3 Shopify

Our website platform. Shopify processes Site visitor data as described in Section 3.3.

6.4 Instagram / Meta

We maintain an active Instagram presence and may embed or link to social content from our Site. Meta's data practices are governed by their own privacy policy. We do not control data collected by Meta through social media interactions.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not share your data with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

7. Data Retention

We retain client information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, maintain our business records, and comply with applicable legal obligations. In general:

  • Booking and contact information is retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes
  • Delivered media files are retained in our systems and through Aryeo for a period consistent with our standard delivery terms — clients are encouraged to download and store their own copies of all delivered media
  • Email addresses collected through our Site are retained until you request removal

If you would like to request deletion of your information, please contact us using the details in Section 11.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect the information we handle. Our Site operates on Shopify's platform, which provides industry-standard SSL encryption for data transmitted through the Site. Booking and media data is stored on Aryeo's platform, which maintains its own security standards.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable Montana law.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Site and services are directed exclusively to adults — real estate professionals, homeowners, property managers, and similar clients. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Your Rights Under Montana Law

The Montana Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA, Mont. Code Ann. § 30-14-1701 et seq.) provides certain rights to Montana residents with respect to their personal data. Depending on the nature of our data processing activities and applicable thresholds, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process personal data about you and access that data
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data
  • Request deletion of personal data you have provided to us
  • Obtain a portable copy of your personal data in a usable format
  • Opt out of the processing of your personal data for purposes of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 11. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Note: Many of these rights are subject to exceptions under applicable law, and some may not apply depending on the specific nature of our data processing activities.
